Principle
This website sets no analytics, marketing or social-media cookies and embeds no third-party content. Fonts and vehicle photographs are served from our own server; there is no map service, no social-media plugin and no contact form. There is no IP-based location detection: the language follows your browser setting and your own choice.
Language cookie
If you switch the language, your browser stores the cookie fontane_locale for twelve months. It holds nothing but “de” or “en”, is never evaluated and is strictly necessary for the service you asked for (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Deleting it costs you nothing but the language setting.
Server logs
Delivering a page requires technical connection data: IP address, date and time, the resource requested, the volume transferred, the referrer and browser and operating-system identifiers. They serve to deliver the site and to fend off attacks (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in secure operation), are not combined with any other source, and are deleted after 30 days at the latest.
Contacting us
If you telephone or email us, we process what you send in order to deal with your enquiry — under Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where it concerns a contract or the steps leading to one, otherwise under Art. 6 (1) (f). We delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed; statutory commercial and tax retention periods remain unaffected.
Recipients and hosting
We do not pass your data on, and we do not sell it. The only party with access is our hosting provider, acting on our instructions as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. The website is operated within the European Union; no data is transferred to a third country.
Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20), and you may object at any time to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) (Art. 21). An email to info@autohaus-fontane.de is enough.
Right to complain
You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority. The one responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz in Mainz.
